This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his special guests for a discussion of one of the unique components of real estate, as well as northern New Mexico interests and activities that resonate with home owners, buyers and sellers.
The show will mark the 134th anniversary of when American statistical engineer Herman Hollerith patents his mechanical tabulating machine on September 23, 1884. This event has been named the beginning of data processing, with Hollerith being called the father of information processing. The company he formed was later the entity that actually started the International Business Machine Company (IBM).
This historic occasion is important because information processing—the acquisition, recording, organization, retrieval, display, and dissemination of data—is at the heart of any successful real estate, or business activity.

Real Estate Broker Update: Rey will offer some thoughts on how he and his real estate broker colleagues use information processing tools and processes to further the property and land data interests of their buyer and seller clients. Rey will also offer his weekly “Rey’s Real Estate Recommendation,” which is designed to make the home buying and selling process a bit easier and more enjoyable for consumers.
Taos as an Important Neighbor to Santa Fe: Joining Rey for a conversation about the important relationship that the Taos Ski Valley (TSV)—and the town of Taos—have with the people of northern New Mexico is David Norden, Chief Executive Officer of TSV. David will offer an update on what visitors to TSV can enjoy at the resort this coming winter, and will also offer some thoughts on the show’s theme of the important place that information processing plays in the day-to-day operation of this world-renowned resort. Since July 2016, David has brought his highly regarded and extensive ski industry experience to the role of managing all of the existing operations of this multi-season resort destination, including The Blake, a new slopeside hotel. TSV is the first major ski resort to become a certified B Corp. This certification helps ensure that TSV meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, sustainability, public transparency, and legal accountability. Becoming a B Corp also means that the long-held values of inclusion, sustainability, and respect for all are validated. To further the interest of real estate and economic development in northern New Mexico, Taos and Santa Fe are among the members of the Northern New Mexico Air Alliance (NNMAA), a non-profit group of businesses, cities, counties and attractions. NNMAA serves as a vehicle for expanding opportunities for consumers who are seeking real estate, economic, sport and entertainment options in northern New Mexico. Rey and his broker colleagues at Sotheby’s International Realty work to make home and land options in Santa Fe, Taos and other parts of northern New Mexico available to consumers (see “Unique Destination”
Commercial Real Estate’s Intersection With Residential Real Estate: Joining Rey for a discussion of Santa Fe’s commercial real estate market, is Tommy Gardner, Broker/Owner at Santa Fe Commercial Real Estate, LLC. Tommy has been working in commercial real estate for 40 years, focusing on offices, shopping centers, income properties, as well as residential community development. Known for his detailed knowledge of elements of the development process, as well as trends in the Santa Fe market, Tommy believes that a brokerage’s success should be measured by how well it serves its clients. Going to the show’s theme for this Sunday, Rey and Tommy will also discuss the valuable role that information processing plays in the operation of a successful commercial real estate business.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 1046 Encantado Drive, with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Darlene Streit. This unique four-bedroom home off of Bishops Lodge Road features commanding Santa Fe city and mountain views, soaring ceilings, Saltillo tile floors, five fireplaces, and a flowing floor plan ideal for entertaining. The centerpiece of the home is a huge living room with fireplace and mountain views, dining room with butler’s pantry, and a sunroom connecting the two wings of the house.

In the second hour of the show, join Rey for a very special interview with the President of the Santa Fe Title Company, Steve Riemann. Santa Fe Title Company, known as the city’s premier, locally-owned title company, provides land title insurance, closing and escrow services, document records, and property searches. The team at the Santa Fe Title Company believes in offering these services professionally and with full attention to detail, as well as providing information and documentation needed to all parties through each step along the way. Rey and Steve will review a variety of issues on Sunday, including the state of the Santa Fe real estate market; recent changes in the closing process for home sellers and buyers; and, the value of title insurance to a new home owner. In addition, Steve serves as a licensed real estate instructor in New Mexico and will share some thoughts about the need for having well-educated real estate professionals.
