This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
Rey is not hosting the show this Sunday, but in the first hour, join Scott Robinson, Branch Manager of the Gateway Mortgage Group, and his guests for a “Tax Day”-themed broadcast of real estate issues important to home owners, buyers and sellers.
This year, the Federal deadline for filing individual tax returns falls on Tuesday, April 17, since the traditional deadline of April 15 falls on a Sunday, and Washington, D.C., celebrates Emancipation Day on April 16. As a result, “Tax Day” in 2018 has been pushed to April 17.

Real Estate Update: Scott will offer the weekly “Rey’s Real Estate Recommendation,” which provides a tip to consumers with the goal of helping to make the real estate process more appealing and less challenging. This week’s message offers Rey’s view that consumers need to pursue due diligence in identifying the best professionals to collaborate with in any home buying exercise. Rey recommends that this process should include finding a mortgage lender with the level of expertise offered by the team at the Gateway Mortgage Group. In addition, Rey’s weekly show message reminds the audience of the important role that the real estate community played in the aftermath of last year’s Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August 2017. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Gateway Mortgage Group “Home Buyer Tip”: Besides offering his thoughts on the “Tax Day” theme of the broadcast, Scott will provide his regular mortgage tip that can benefit home buyers who are purchasing a property in collaboration with a lender. The Gateway Mortgage Group is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the country, doing its entire mortgage servicing in-house. This business element is important, since it means that Gateway’s customers work directly with them until the time their loan is paid. Commentary contained within this broadcast is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a solicitation to extend credit. Scott Robinson, NMLS 202265, is a licensed Branch Manager with Gateway Mortgage Group, located at 502 West Cordova Road, Suite 1, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505. All loans are subject to program guidelines and final underwriting approval. Gateway Mortgage Group, LLC, is an equal housing lender. NMLS 7233.
Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, Update: Donna Jones White, Owner and Qualifying Broker of Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, will not only reflect on the show theme, but will also underscore how important it is to offer information to her clients about the values of making Santa Fe a destination for work, or vacation travel. Donna will also offer a summary of vacation and other home rental options that are available to Santa Fe visitors in 2018. In addition, Donna will also remind the audience about her company’s role in maintaining a collection of rental options for vacation guests who choose to come to Santa Fe in this year or are seeking a furnished 30-day or long-term unfurnished property. Consumers from around the globe turn to Donna’s company to aid them in finding comfortable and high-quality residences for their stays in our community.
Open House of the Week: Scott will review the attributes of 57 Camino Don Patron, with Rey’s Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Abigail Davidson. This three-bedroom, single-level home with expansive views and a separate studio, darkroom and yoga room is located just off prestigious Tano Road in Santa Fe.

In the second hour of the show, join Scott as he plans to offer a thorough review of changes in the 2018 tax code, featuring commentary during the broadcast from a Certified Public Accountant, a real estate attorney and a financial planner. It is recommended that these tax code changes be studied, understood and planned for by home owners, as well as those who plan to purchase a home using a mortgage lender.
