Rey and Tom will also offer some observations on real estate matters that may be on the agenda in the New Year for home owners, buyers and sellers, as well as real estate professionals.

Real Estate Brokers Activities in 2018 and 2019: Rey will offer his end-of-the-year thoughts on the successes real estate professionals enjoyed in 2018, as well as some of the possible issues in home buying and selling that may manifest themselves in the New Year. Rey will also offer some highlights about new elements to the “All Things Real Estate” radio show that will be offered in 2019.
Community Association Management Update: Tom will offer his thoughts on the theme of the show, as well as how the residents of the homeowner (HOA) and condo (COA) association neighborhoods enjoy the holiday season and prepare for the New Year. In addition, Tom will review the elements of the second hour of the show when he and his special guests will explore the topic of residential property development in the Santa Fe region. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Westgate Properties specializes in the management of multi-tenant commercial properties and homeowner associations. Their goal is to promote community through highly responsive management with the aim that quality of life, quality of work and the value of one’s real estate investment is improved.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”: Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer some suggestions on how to make the home buying and selling process a bit easier, more efficient and enjoyable for consumers.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 2 Avenida de Sevilla with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Abigail Davidson. This private, single-level, three-bedroom Territorial country estate, is located on three acres near Santa Fe’s coveted Tano Road, yet only eight minutes to the city’s Plaza. This open, airy and sunny home offers superb views to both the eastern and western mountain ranges, access to a major hiking trailhead, superior construction, in-floor radiant heat and forced air heating and A/C, as well as great art walls.

In the second hour of the show, join host Tom Simon, Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) and Owner of Westgate Properties, LLC, and his special guest, Kim Shanahan, the former Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association, as they discuss a number of issues associated with new residential property development in the Santa Fe region.

The conversation will touch upon the challenges of getting new property developments approved in the city and county; the role that homeowner and condo associations play in the process, as well as the advantages that these forms of communities offer in new home construction; and the prospects for new property developments in 2019.
Joining in the conversation, are the regular monthly contributors to the Westgate Properties program:

Insurance Advice: Vincent Marciano of the ADV Insurance Agency—specializing in community association insurance needs—joins Tom to discuss the theme of the Sunday show, including the insurance needs that change from home developer to homeowner control of a property. Vince will also offer his monthly insurance counsel on other matters of interest to home owners.

Giving Back: The Realogy Disaster Relief Fund has been activated to provide much-needed financial assistance to help those who were affected by Hurricanes Florence and Michael, as well as support for those affected by the California wildfires. The sole purpose of this effort is to provide much-needed financial assistance to help those in need who are not covered by personal insurance policies. Realogy has committed to matching $50,000 of the funds raised, and, effective immediately, you may make a tax-deductible donation to the fund. The Realogy Disaster Relief Fund is managed through the Realogy Charitable Foundation. In donating to the Fund, 100 percent of the money will be disbursed to those who are affected by declared federal disasters. Once the federal government declares the areas impacted by the California wildfires disaster zones, the process will begin for individual aid. Those affected by the hurricanes and covered by the Fund’s program can pay for emergency-related costs such as significant home repairs from flooding, lost possessions, and temporary housing expenses. Click here to donate to the Realogy Disaster Relief Fund. Realogy Holdings Corp. delivers its real estate services through its well-known industry brands including Sotheby's International Realty®. Since 2009, the “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show has offered air time to a variety of Santa Fe non-profit and community organizations. Representatives from organizations are able to use the ATRE program to share news and information with northern New Mexico residents about their services and activities. In 2018 alone, some of the organizations featured on ATRE in donated air time are: Kitchen Angels; Creative Santa Fe; Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center; Dollars4Schools; and, the New Mexico Real Estate Commission.
