This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guests as they apply a special historic event to help frame the discussion of “how real estate professionals work with home buyers, owners and sellers.”
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ)—the winner of 40 Pulitzer Prizes through 2017—is the most-circulated newspaper in the United States (2,378,827 average circulation). It began publishing exactly 129 years ago on July 8 (1889) and is recognized by home owners, buyers, sellers and real estate professionals for offering highly-regarded real estate and other property related reporting. As a prestigious news publication—with a wide circulation—its home listing advertising is pursued by many real estate brokerages across the country.
Marking the anniversary of the WSJ's first publication on July 8 (and its value to real estate), Rey and his guests will offer some observations on the occasion that can apply to the straight-forward theme of: how real estate professionals work with home buyers, owners and sellers.

Real Estate Brokers, The WSJ and Working With Clients: Rey will share some observations on the ways that professional real estate brokers use a variety of techniques, technology and advertising tools to advance the interests of their buyer and seller clients. In addition, Rey will offer some facts about the unique real estate marketing relationship that Sotheby’s International Realty has established with the Wall Street Journal. Rey will also provide commentary via his weekly “Rey’s Real Estate Recommendation,” which offers a tip to consumers with the goal of helping to make the real estate process more appealing and less challenging. Also, Rey will remind the audience that the Sotheby's International Realty® brand has partnered with New Story, a non-profit organization that puts 100 percent of donations toward transforming dangerous living environments into communities of safe, sustainable homes, for $6,000 a home. Go to for more information on this significant initiative.
Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association Update: Rey will join in a conversation with Kim Shanahan, Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), regarding the theme for the first hour of the show. Kim will also address a variety of timely home building and remodeling issues, including his take on the state of the construction industry at this point in 2018. Rey and Kim will also review the staging of the SFAHBA’s 2018 “Haciendas, A Parade of Homes” tour in mid-August. This nationally recognized event features some of the finest new construction and totally remodeled homes in our region. Rey and Kim will discuss how properties featured in the event are judged in this home building competition; offer some general commentary on the homes that are entrants in the competition; discuss the builders who are participating in this year’s event; and how the public can join in a tour of the homes on August 10-12 and 17-19. For more information on the Parade, please go to: “All Things Real Estate” is proud to have been invited by the SFAHBA—for the eighth year in a row—to air a remote broadcast of the program on August 12 and 19 from special properties featured during this event, including the “Grand Hacienda” selected home. As a reminder, tune in to the SFAHBA’s weekly radio show “Green Building”—which Kim hosts—airing just before the “All Things Real Estate” program, beginning at 11 am (Mountain Time) each Sunday on KTRC’s 1260AM and 103.7FM (also heard at the same time via the “Listen Now” link at
Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery Update: Stephen Etre, Owner of Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, will address the show theme by speaking to the important role that his gallery plays in assisting home owners, buyers and sellers.  Stephen’s gallery is known for offering premier estate sale services and has—for many years—been called upon by real estate professionals, lawyers and personal financial advisors to administer a number of well-known estate sale events in Santa Fe. With more than 13,000 square feet of display space, the gallery has been a place that home buyers, sellers and owners—along with real estate professionals—have gone to for more than 36 years to find unique art, antiques, jewelry, furniture and home accessories.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 19 Tano West with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Abigail Davidson. This gracious and stately three-bedroom, single-level home is gated and mostly walled offering a marvelous blend of sophistication and ease. Features include soaring ceilings with great beams and the creamy plaster work that can only be achieved by trained artisans; plenty of outdoor space to entertain along the wide portal and gracious walled entry courtyard with water feature; and two master suites, with a third bedroom and/or office, which is nicely situated to ensure privacy and flexible use. This home is located about 10 easy minutes from downtown Santa Fe.

In the second hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Craig Hoopes, Principal at the highly-regarded firm Hoopes & Associates Architects, as they continue to discuss the Wall Street Journal-inspired theme from the first hour of the show. Specifically, Craig will offer his thoughts on all of the ways he and his firm work with home buyers and current owners who wish to pursue either the design and construction of a new home, or a major remodel to their current residence. Craig will also update the audience on his architectural firm’s role in the design and building of two homes that will be entered into the 2018 “Haciendas, A Parade of Homes” tour in August. Craig was part of the design and building team in 2014 that won the “Grand Hacienda” award during this nationally known and highly respected event. Over the years of providing well-regarded architectural services to clients, Craig and his colleagues have aided consumers in the design, construction and remodeling of homes. With this history as a backdrop, Rey and Craig will also discuss current architectural issues that are impacting the home-building process at this point in 2018.
