This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guests for a discussion of how revolutionary advancements impact the development of real estate.
On May 6, 1837, Illinois blacksmith John Deere introduced a highly polished steel plow to our nation's farmers. It was designed from a broken saw blade and transformed the way that farmers plowed the sandy soil in the eastern U.S. In those days, framers struggled with back-breaking plowing that required them to continuously interrupt their work to scrape sticky prairie soil from their cast-iron plows. This Deere-inspired innovation revolutionized farming in our nation in the 1800s, making the work of farmers and their draft horses considerably easier to perform. Many believe that this device—and its impact on farming—contributed to the rise of real estate development in the mid-west and western part of our country.

In the spirit of this historic occasion, Rey and his guests will discuss how contemporary advancements in techniques and tools used by brokers impact the development of real estate and benefit their buyer and seller clients.

Real Estate Brokers Embrace Advancements: In the spirit of the show’s theme, Rey will speak to some of the advancements in the practice of real estate that enhance the success rate of home buying and selling. Rey will also remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of last year’s Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August 2017. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
2018 Roofing and Home Maintenance Update: John Grisak, President of Fix My Roof, LLC, will lead off the show with some observations on the program’s theme, by reviewing the cutting-edge procedures and products that his company uses in residential and commercial roof restoration. John will also reflect on why now is the time to give special attention to the condition of your home’s roof, as we move from the spring to the summer months. Fix My Roof, LLC, is committed to restoring existing roofs for a fraction of the cost of roof replacement while maximizing a positive impact on the environment by embracing environmentally responsible practices and educating the greater community about environmental stewardship. Headquartered in Santa Fe, the company has completed both residential and commercial jobs in Santa Fe, Los Alamos, El Dorado, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Cochiti, Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Silver City, and many more locations.
Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue: Christine Hajek, President and Founder of Mount Airy, Maryland-based Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue (GGDHR), will speak to how the mission of this nationally-recognized non-profit serves as a contemporary reference point for the John Deere-inspired real estate theme of the show. GGDHR promotes the benefits and uses of Draft horses—of all breeds—as trail, schooling and competition mounts. The organization is committed to saving Draft horses from slaughter, abuse and neglect, as well as finding them adoptive homes as trail and schooling horses.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”: Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation offers some specific thoughts on how real estate brokers and their clients can employ current advancements in the practice of real estate to make the home buying and selling process easier and successful.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 98 Paseo Encantado SW, with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Jesica Beken. This three-bedroom home, offering expansive views of the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains, features spacious rooms, textured plaster walls, brick floors, kiva fireplaces, and a vintage kitchen. The residence is located in Vista Redondo—just up the hill from the Four Season’s Resort—and very close to the Santa Fe Opera, while only 18 minutes to the Santa Fe Plaza.

In the second hour of the show, Jeff Brown, Owner of WIN Home Inspection, and his guests will offer their monthly broadcast, speaking to a variety of home inspection and maintenance issues, as well as the state of the local real estate market. Joining Jeff are two special guests: Debbie Hodge, Loan Originator with the Gateway Mortgage Group, will offer thoughts on a variety of mortgage issues that can benefit home buyers who are purchasing a property in collaboration with a lender. The Gateway Mortgage Group—a corporate supporter of “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE)—is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the country, doing its entire mortgage servicing in-house. This business element is important, since it means that Gateway’s customers work directly with them until the time their loan is paid. Commentary contained within this broadcast is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a solicitation to extend credit. ATRE's regular show commentator is Scott Robinson, NMLS 202265, a licensed Branch Manager with Gateway Mortgage Group, located at 502 West Cordova Road, Suite 1, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505. All loans are subject to program guidelines and final underwriting approval. Gateway Mortgage Group, LLC, is an equal housing lender. NMLS 7233.
Also joining Jeff is Laurie Farber-Condon, President of the Women’s Council of Realtors Santa Fe. The Council is dedicated to fostering professional and personal success for its members and encouraging and supporting leadership in business and our Santa Fe community. Offering his monthly “Home Inspector’s Tip” is Matt Rivera, a professional home inspector and a member of the WIN Home Inspection team. WIN is well known for providing comprehensive, experienced, and professional home inspections, with the goal of helping to make the real estate transaction process go smoothly. Buyers can make an informed decision on the home they are purchasing, as well as planning for upgrades down the road, while sellers who obtain a pre-inspection can often see their listing sell more quickly.
