This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour join Rey and his guest co-host Stephen Etre, Owner of Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, and their guests for a Veterans Day-inspired discussion of current real estate issues.
Real Estate Honors U.S. Armed Forces: Rey will speak to how he and his broker colleagues not only honor those who serve in our nation’s military, but also serve members of the armed forces who are seeking to buy, or sell a home. Rey will also offer his weekly “Rey’s Real Estate Recommendation” which provides a tip to consumers with the goal of helping to make the real estate process more appealing and less challenging. In addition, Rey will remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to:events.org/hurricane to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, and Real Estate Clients: Stephen Etre, Owner of Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, will review how he and his team at the gallery serve the interests of military personnel—current and retired—who find his business to be a valuable destination to meet their home buying, selling or furnishing needs. Stephen will also speak to the success of his annual “Fall Sale” event which was staged at the gallery on October 21-22. This annual event has been staged for more than 30 years and attracts consumers from all over the country, when high-quality furniture, antiques, art, jewelry, homes accessories and many other items at the gallery are offered at greatly reduced prices. Stephen will also update the audience on upcoming estate sale and other special services offered by the gallery.
CHRISTUS Organization Observations: Arturo Delgado, Marketing and Communications Director at the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, will offer his thoughts on how this well-regarded medical facility and its professionals bring extensive and quality services to the many members of the U.S. Armed Services who are served by the hospital. In addition, Arturo will update the audience on the status of the completion of the Frost Pavilion. This new 36-room, state-of-the-art hospital wing at the medical center—as well as the renovation of all existing shared patient rooms—will create an all-private-room hospital facility. Proceeds raised in September from the highly successful “Glamour And Gauze” gala dinner organized by the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation benefitted this multi-million-dollar construction project. Arturo will also update the listeners on a newly-created program being organized by the foundation, which has the mission of bringing the Santa Fe business community into a closer relationship with the good works of the hospital.
Home Builders Perspective: Kim Shanahan, Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), will address the Veterans Day theme of the show as it relates to the efforts of professional contractors who bring their home building and remodeling expertise to client activity. Kim will also speak to a variety of timely home building and remodeling issues, including his take on the state of the construction industry as we close out 2017. The SFAHBA’s well-regarded weekly radio show “Green Building”—which Kim hosts—airs just before the ATRE program at 11 am (Mountain Time) eachSunday on 1260 KTRC-AM (also heard at the same time via the “Listen Now” link at ATREradio.com).
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 8 Avenida Herrera with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Tim Galvin. This elegant three-bedroom home offers numerous features and both golf course (The Club at Las Campanas) and Sangre de Cristo Mountain views. The home is located on an intimate brick street in the very secluded Villas enclave of the Santa Fe neighborhood of Las Campanas.
In the second hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Craig Hoopes, Principal at the highly-regarded firm Hoopes & Associates Architects, and their special guest commentator, as they continue the conversation from the first hour of the show. Over the years of providing well-regarded architectural services to clients who also have served in our nation’s military, Craig will describe how he and the colleagues of his firm aid these and other consumers in the design, construction and remodeling of homes. Rey and Craig will also discuss current architectural issues that are impacting the home building process. Craig will also speak to some of his own projects, including properties he is involved with that will be entered in the 2018 “Parade of Homes” tour next August, sponsored by the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association. In a special interview segment, Craig and Rey will discuss with Kevin Skelly—Principal at home construction firm KM Skelly, Inc.—current trends in the building of homes in the Santa Fe region. With decades of experience, Kevin Skelly is a Certified Green Professional and Graduate Master Builder who works with architects, designers, and clients globally to build exceptional spaces in northern New Mexico and beyond.
