All Things Real Estate: - Second Hour September 30, 2018
This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host, Bonnie Davis, Professional Community Association Manager of Westgate Properties, LLC, and their guests, as they mark an event in U.S. sports history that sets the theme for the program.
On September 30, 1927, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, Yankees slugger Babe Ruth belted his 60th home run of the season, breaking the record of 59 he set in 1921. This record of home runs in a single season of Major League Baseball would stand until 1961, when Roger Maris—also of the NY Yankees—hit 61 home runs.
Given that the expression "hitting a home run" means that you do something that is very successful—and in the spirit of Babe Ruth's achievement—the show’s discussion will focus on how real estate professionals are always hoping to attain this goal for their buyer and seller clients.
Real Estate Brokers and Their Clients: Rey will share some observations on how “hitting a home run” for home buyer and seller clients requires the need to address numerous issues to ensure a successful transaction. Rey will also offer his weekly “Rey’s Real Estate Recommendation,” which is designed to make the home buying and selling process a bit easier and more enjoyable for consumers.
Community Association Management Update: Bonnie will offer her thoughts on the theme of the show, including how she, as professional community association manager, works hard to achieve a “home run” for the residents of homeowner (HOA) and condo (COA) association neighborhoods. Bonnie will also update the audience on current issues that residents within HOA and COA communities are facing at this point in 2018. In addition, Bonnie will review the elements of the second hour of the show when she and her guests will address the elements of budgeting in community associations. Bonnie’s special guest, Kevin Brennan of Brennan Tax & Advisory, will review a variety of matters associated with creating an effective operating budget for a community association, including developing line items, historical trend versus zero based budgeting, replacement reserves, and receivables. In addition, Bonnie’s regular content providers will join in the conversation:
Insurance Advice: Vincent Marciano of the ADV Insurance Agency—specializing in community association insurance needs—joins Bonnie to discuss the theme of the Sunday show, as well as offer his monthly insurance counsel on other matters of interest to home owners.
Landscape Tip: Sean Gabriel, Principal with locally-owned and operated Proscape Landscape Management, will offer his landscape tip of the month and also speak to the theme of the second hour of the program.
HOA/COA Legal Tip: Attorney Lynn Krupnik, of Krupnik & Speas, PLLC, will speak to the theme of the second hour of the show, as well as offer her monthly legal commentary, designed to benefit home owners who reside in community association neighborhoods.
