Del Sur Market
The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, in partnership with Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center and the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute, is committed to connecting local growers with the entire city of Santa Fe. The Del Sur Market is helping spread fresh, healthy food to a growing community.
“This year we are grateful for all the community partners and resources coming together to make the Santa Fe Farmers’ Del Sur market a continued success,” said Debbie Burns, CEO of the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market. “We would like this wonderful, growing community to have access to fresh, local food right in its neighborhood, which is also my neighborhood. Our Santa Fe Farmers’ Del Sur Market vendors will bring the freshest produce and local food to this community every week through the end of September. Come join us every Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. this summer to find fresh food, entertainment, and family fun at every Santa Fe Farmers’ Del Sur market.”
“For the fourth year, Presbyterian is proud to host the Tuesday Del Sur Farmers Market,” said Jon Wade, hospital chief executive, Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center. “We continue to increase our investment in local farmers and partner with other organizations to improve access to fresh healthy food. This work is central to our purpose at Presbyterian to improve the health of our community.”
Presbyterian supports the market in a variety of ways, including providing patients and employees vouchers to shop at the market, offering nutrition education and health resources at the market, and purchasing local food directly from farmers.
Community partners working together to increase participation in the Santa Fe Farmers’ Del Sur Market include Presbyterian, the Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute, YouthWorks Social Justice Kitchen Food Truck, the Santa Fe Children’s Museum, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, and more. Cooking With Kids will be providing weekly activities during the market for kids featuring recipes and seasonal produce from the Del Sur Market vendors. Other special events throughout the market season will include a Chef Showdown and a salsa showcase.
Double Up Food Bucks
Thanks to the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute, EBT is accepted at all three market days by qualifying vendors.
