Are you ready for some football? The University of New Mexico Lobos are back and better than ever! Their 2022 home schedule is a great one, with three games to open the season at home, all evening games, which is a blessing at this time of the year.
UNM opens the season on Saturday, September 3 against Maine at 6 pm, and then hosts Boise State in a “Red Out” on September 9 in the conference opener. For that Friday night game, all fans are asked to wear red as the Lobos will be dressed in head to toe in red uniforms, including the long awaited return of a Lobo red helmet, not seen in a game since the 1973 finale, nearly 50 years ago.
The Lobos finish the three-game opening homestand with a rivalry game hosting UTEP on September 17, at 6 pm. UNM has a pair of October games, against Wyoming at 5 pm on October 8, and on Saturday, October 22 against Fresno State, with that game time TBA. UNM ends the season on Friday, November 18 hosting San Diego State. For a peek at the full schedule, visit the website.
The best way to purchase tickets and receive them is online at golobos.com/SGT. Tickets can be printed out using the print at home option, but the easiest way is to get tickets send right to your phone and stored in your Apple Wallet or phone device.
“Our fans have really taken to the ease of mobile ticketing, and it has helped streamline entrances into our facilities,” said Director of Athletics Eddie Nuñez. “Fans can still print at home if needed, but we have seen that used less frequently as mobile ticketing has become more of the norm, especially since COVID.”
