Want to spend more time with the family this Thanksgiving and less time in the kitchen? While reservations at Santa Fe restaurants have been snapped up faster than you can say “pumpkin pie,” there are some options left (at least when we checked on November 18). Some restaurants offer dine-in and take-out, and some just one or the other. Here’s what we could find being offered for Thanksgiving 2021, along with some pre-planning notes for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

coyote cafe

Unfortunately for those who didn’t plan far enough ahead, the delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas options at Coyote Cafe are already sold out. But, they tell us, go dine there another day!

Osteria d’Assisi

They are still taking reservations for a delicious Italian Thanksgiving dinner, to be served from 1 to 9 p.m. The meal includes soup or salad, a choice of a main course, and dessert. Additional appetizers are available to add to the meal. Meals can also be ordered for pick-up between noon and 4 p.m. Make reservations or order a pick-up meal at 505-986-5858 or make dining-in reservations online.

Joe’s Dining

Joe’s knows that shopping for and preparing a Thanksgiving meal can be really stressful, so they are doing all the hard work for you. And they are using only the best ingredients. Organic turkeys, organic pumpkin pie (made from actual pumpkins), croutons made in-house, braised red cabbage…ok we have to stop because we’re drooling over here. You’ll need to pick up your meal Wednesday after 2 p.m. as they are closed Thursday and Friday Thanksgiving week. You can order the entire meal or just selected parts. Order early because they will run out!

La Plazuela at La Fonda

Thanksgiving is sold out at La Plazuela, but if you make plans now, you might be able to get reservations for their tempting Christmas Prix Fixe or Buffet meals. Check the menus here.

Four Seasons Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

The Four Seasons is one of the nicest hotel/restaurants in Santa Fe and their Thanksgiving dinner is to die for. For Thanksgiving, their dine-in options are sold out, but they have a lovely take-out option. There are only a few pick-up meals still available when we checked, so don’t delay! You can also plan ahead to dine-in for Christmas if you act now!

Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi

With three seatings for Thanksgiving dinner, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi still has a place at the table for you when we called! Their prix fixe menu offers the choice of two appetizing appetizers, a main course of organic free-range chicken or pan seared Chilean sea bass, and choice of pumpkin pie or apple strudel for dessert. See their Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve menus. Be sure to make reservations.

Marquez Deli

Enjoy a full Thanksgiving dinner from the Marquez Deli right in your own home. The menu includes a Mezza platter as an appetizer, a choice between turkey tagine or veggie tagine, a unique array of sides, and of course, dessert. You can choose between pumpkin cheesecake mousse or flaky walnut baklava. All dinners will be packaged and come with re-heating instructions. All orders must be received by 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 23. Pick-up will be scheduled for Thanksgiving Day between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Call to reserve your dinner: 505-365-2112 or 2113. See their menu.

Izanami

Reprising their successful event from 2020, Chef Kiko and staff will be preparing a traditional Thanksgiving feast to heat up and serve at home. They have something for everyone with poultry, pork, and vegetarian options. The feast includes two appetizers, your choice of entrée, and four savory sides. For dessert you have a choice between bourbon pecan pie or ginger apple pie. You can even grab a bottle of wine to go with dinner. Dinners are $69/person and will be ready for pick up on Thanksgiving Day between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. Reserve your dinner by 12 p.m. Monday, November 22, via email at [email protected] and you will receive a call to confirm you order. See what’s on the menu here.

Rio Chama

Dine in or take a fully prepared Thanksgiving feast home to enjoy. Enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at Rio Chama from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring nine different starters, six delectable entrées with paired sides, and two dessert options. Reservations are highly recommended. Want to dine at home? Order Thanksgiving dinner to-go. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, bread, and pumpkin pie are on the menu! To-go dinners are $139 and feed 4 people. Place your order by Monday, November 22, and pick up on Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Call for more information: 505-955-0765 See the menu.

Sassella

If you’ve never had Thanksgiving dinner with an Italian influence, this could be the time for a change. Sassella is translating its beautiful Italian cuisine into this American holiday and Chef Pontiggia has prepared a tasty four-course prix fixe menu. When we called, they still had seating available in the bar area, with all the expected holiday flourishes. They are also taking reservations for Christmas and New Year’s Eve! See their menu and get ready for your mouth to start watering.

The Compound

Sold out for Thanksgiving AND Christmas. Sorry!

Walter Burke Catering

Walter Burke is offering a take-out Thanksgiving meal, but they are also sold out.

We know we missed some restaurants in town, so make sure to let us know what else we need to write about on our Facebook.
