All Things Real Estate - July 31, 2016


This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Bonnie Davis of Westgate Properties, LLC, and their guests for a discussion of the process of how “renters become home owners," as well as other matters impacting residents in homeowner (HOA) and condo (COA) association communities.

Aiding Renters Who Become Home Owners: Rey will discuss with Bonnie the ways that real estate professionals assist consumers who transition from a renter status to home ownership.

Lender Role With Renters-to-Home Owners: Ron Blessey, Licensed Mortgage Professional with Homeowners Financial Group, will offer his regular “mortgage tip” that speaks to some of the activities that renters need to pursue as they prepare for the purchase of a home using a lender.

Santa Fe Rentals: Donna Jones White, Owner of Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, will review the many attributes of the Santa Fe region that attract condo and home renters from around the country and the world. Donna will also share her views on the transition that many renters make to home ownership in our community.

Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 501 East Coronado Road with his Sotheby’s International Realty associate broker colleague Marilyn Foss. This five-bedroom, custom and gated home with just under a half acre of land and with beautiful landscaping is located in the Historic Eastside of Santa Fe.

In the second hour of the show, Bonnie will join her guests in a discussion of the recent changes to the Short Term Rental Ordinance in Santa Fe, as well as other issues that impact residents located in HOA and COA communities.

Santa Fe Tourism Perspective: Randy Randall, Executive Director of TOURISM Santa Fe, will offer his views on the recent changes to the Short Term Rental Ordinance in the city.

Observations of Rental Professional: Donna Jones White, Owner of Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, will provide some observations on changes to Santa Fe’s Short Term Rental Ordinance, from her position as a professional providing rental services to consumers.

HOA Legal Review: Javier Delgado of the Carpenter, Hazlewood, Delgado, Bolen Law Firm, will offer his monthly legal perspective on a variety of issues in HOA and COA communities. 

Insurance Advice: Vincent Marciano of the ADV Insurance Agency—specializing in community association insurance needs—will offer his monthly insurance counsel, with a focus on the theme of today’s broadcast.

Landscape Tip: Sean Gabriel, Principal with locally-owned and operated Proscape Landscape Management, will offer his landscape tip of the month.
