New Mexico State Parks is currently on a recruitment drive featuring several open positions, ranging from Deputy Directors to Law Enforcement and Botanical Curators to Park Technicians. Outdoor recreation is a driving force in New Mexico’s economy and State Parks is a key player in that economy. Perhaps the most visible members of the State Parks team to the public are the New Mexico State Park Rangers. Park Rangers are the system’s ambassadors for public safety, recreation, and preservation of New Mexico’s most treasured places.

Quoting from a video on the State Parks career page, “their duties include enforcing the laws of the State of New Mexico, with the satisfaction of knowing they are serving the public, and knowing they are enjoying the state’s most beautiful landscapes.” Being a State Parks Ranger is an important, honored occupation, and there are several Park Ranger positions open today.

Currently, there are other positions available that may interest job seekers. There are positions open for Park Technicians (who perform general facilities maintenance), and even an Accounting Supervisor position. 

These positions are located throughout the Parks system, including the State Parks of Bottomless Lake, Brantley Lake, Eagle Nest Lake, Living Desert, Navajo Lake, Oasis, Rockhound, the Santa Fe State Parks office, Summer Lake, and Ute Lake.
